His Royal Highness, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, British Prime Minister David Cameron and other Commonwealth Leaders will travel to Colombo in 20 minutes on the new Colombo-Katunayake Expressway when they arrive in Colombo for CHOGM 2013 – the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Yesterday the President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa opened the new Colombo-Katunayake Expressway in time for CHOGM 2013. It used to take well over an hour to travel from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, to the City of Colombo – the drive time has now been cut back. The Colombo-Katunayake Expressway is a toll highway.
