Sri Lankan star Rukshan Karunanayake and the Chimes of the 70s with the Global Autism Award marking Autism Sunday 2014 for the historic Sinhala autism song ‘Mamath Eka Malak.’

The hugely popular ‘Rise and Shine’ TV programme on prime time television on Channel Eye in Sri Lanka featured the multi-talented Rukshan Karunanayake unveiling the historic Sinhala autism song ‘Mamath Eka Malak,’ for Autism Sunday 2014. This was a first in the Commonwealth of Nations for 2014.

Rukshan Karunanayake spoke about autism and the importance of this moving song. He has dedicated this song to Charin Corea, grandson of the late Vernon Corea who is on the autism spectrum as well as all children and adults with autism on the island of Sri Lanka.
