The well known Indian writer from Bangalore, Usha K.R. said Vernon Corea played this song ‘But You Loved Me Daddy,’ on Radio Ceylon. Usha K.R. said her character Shrinivas Moorty listened to Vernon Corea playing ‘But You Love Me Daddy’ in her novel ‘Monkey Man’ published by Penguin.

‘But You Love Me Daddy’ was recorded by Jim Reeves and Steve Moore in 1959. It was a hot favourite on the airwaves of Radio Ceylon.
