Sri Lankan composer Sydney Chandrasekara talks about his hit song released by MTV/MBC to mark the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Colombo from 10th – 17th November 2013. The song has lyrics in Sinhala, Tamil and English – the three main languages of the island. The video encompasses the sights and sounds of Sri Lanka.
‘Sri Lanka Our Land’ for CHOGM 2013 is sung by the Sri Lanka born rock star Chital ‘Chity’ Somapala who is the son of the legendary Sri Lankan musician P.L.A.Somapala who has met Vernon Corea at Radio Ceylon in the 1960s.
